Interior, storage space and materials
The Hyundai KONA has grown in size compared to the predecessor model and therefore offers more space for passengers and luggage. The boot capacity is 466 litres according to the VDA standard and can be extended to up to 1,300 litres by folding down the rear seats. The KONA Elektro also has a 27-litre storage compartment under the bonnet.

With a Hyundai, you are opting for proven quality and long-term safety. The KONA comes with a five-year Hyundai manufacturer's warranty with no mileage limit. The package also includes a paint warranty and five free safety checks. For models with hybrid or electric drive, there is also an extended warranty on the high-voltage battery.

Engines and performance
The Hyundai KONA is available with modern petrol, hybrid and electric engines. The 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine delivers 115 hp6
, the 1.6 T-GDI delivers 1507

depending on the version and is also available with all-wheel drive as an option. The hybrid version combines a 1.6 GDI petrol engine with an electric motor and achieves a system output of 138 hp9
.
Two electric variants are available for locally emission-free driving:

according to WLTP. There is currently no diesel engine available for the Hyundai KONA.
Chassis and handling characteristics
The chassis is designed for a good balance between comfort and stability. With optional all-wheel drive, the KONA offers additional traction on different surfaces. This makes the SUV suitable for both city traffic and long journeys.
Safety and comfort functions
Depending on the equipment line, numerous modern systems are available. These include a head-up display, a motorway assistant, a 360-degree camera and a parking assistant with remote control. Safety features include an attention assistant, blind spot warning and traffic sign recognition. The optional Bose sound system with eight loudspeakers and subwoofer ensures high-quality sound.
Digital connectivity and operation
The Hyundai KONA has a curved panoramic display with two 12.3-inch screens as standard. Over-the-air updates, Bluelink services and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are on board. A digital vehicle key enables access via smartphone. The equipment is complemented by several USB-C ports, a wireless charging function and a 12 V socket.
