The MG3 Hybrid+ automatically and seamlessly switches between electric and petrol drive, depending on speed and driving style. The 100 kW electric motor¹ provides dynamic acceleration, supported by the petrol engine at higher loads to maintain the battery charge. The perfect synergy of both drive types enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just eight seconds¹.
Technical details
The MG4 Electric is currently undergoing a final endurance test of around 120,000 kilometres under various conditions in Europe. The MG4 Electric is the first MG Motor model for the European market to be based on the MSP platform for battery electric vehicles developed by parent company SAIC Motor. The intelligent and modular architecture offers many advantages in terms of flexibility, space utilisation, safety, driving experience, weight savings and the use of future technologies.
Its scalable body is suitable for wheelbases from 2,650 to 3,100 mm. This makes it possible to design different body styles for different segments on the same platform, from hatchbacks and notchbacks to SUVs and vans. For this reason, the Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) plays a crucial role in MG Motor's growth strategy for Europe.
